“We’ve received a large number of confirmations from around the world, I think the last count was about 90 heads of state but the numbers keep coming in,” explained Wael Aboulmagd to Reuters, Egypt’s special representative to the COP27 president, Sameh Shoukry.

More specifically, it discussed cooperation in initiatives that will be announced during the COP 27.
COP27: African actors in Dakar Declaration on sustainable mobility, climate change
The participants met in Dakar, Senegal in a five-day summit, organised by Climate Chance before the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP 27) in Egypt, where the financing of adaptation, loss and damage will be at the heart of the negotiations, noted the importance of developing large-scale actions on the African continent.
Pre-COP27 meeting ends in Kinshasa

Delegates from over 50 countries participated in a pre-COP27 meeting held in DRC’s capital, Kinshasa. The purpose of the event was to prepare for the COP27 summit taking place in Egypt in November.
“The objective was to reach an agreement on funding money that reflects the needs of developing countries.” Said the DRC’s senior climate negotiator.
