Hassan is the Co-Founder and Chief executive Officer (CEO) of DCarbon NL, with over 10 years of experience in business development and sustainability. Currently an MBA candidate at Maastricht University, specialising in digital transformation, he also holds a bachelor’s degree in business intelligence. Hassan has a proven track record of leveraging technology to drive sustainable business practices.
Hassan launched Egypt’s first B2B waste management and recycling platform (BioBekia), where, as CEO, he successfully optimised resource management and reduced carbon footprints through innovative waste-to-materials and waste-to-energy solutions. This role was built upon his experience at IBM as a Business Intelligence Engineer, where he honed his data analysis and strategic decision-making skills, bridging the gap between technology and business.
Hassan’s background centres on digital transformation in waste management, where he has developed platforms that streamline processes and enhance efficiency. His achievements include pioneering waste-to-energy initiatives and securing strategic partnerships with 45 national and international corporations. Hassan is dedicated to delivering impactful environmental solutions and has extensive experience collaborating with global stakeholders such as the GIZ, EU, USAID, UKAID, and UN.
As the CEO of DCarbon NL, Hassan is responsible for establishing strategic partnerships, guiding the company’s digital transformation, and assisting organisations in their sustainability transitions to achieve significant environmental milestones and overarching objectives.
